What if our curriculum were driven by anecdotes and insights?

In the writing classes I teach, we have been talking a lot about anecdotes and insights.  We keep working toward stories and anecdotes that lead us toward discovering truths and insights.  We value certain insights and then go hunting for the illustrative anecdotes that convey those valuable ideas.  I am wondering what would happen if we shared our stories and truths with students as a way of encouraging them to explore and discover and create their own.

Anyone reading this post, send me a combination of anecdote and insight inspired by the picture above.  I will buy lunch for the person whose combination is the most fun.
