Diversity and Innovation

Innovation needs diversity; Diversity needs innovation.

In the last 12 to 18 months, we have been making more observations and asking more questions about the intersections of diversity and innovation.  We have been reading about how innovation arises more readily from diverse project teams.  Separately, we have been reading about how growing diversity, choosing inclusion, and pursuing equity all necessitate innovation within communities.  We have a hunch there is meaningful constellation of connections in here.  So, we decided to put this simple formulation up as a blog post while we are also working on a literature review of research about these two halves.  We are hoping this prototype of a molecule of an idea will move use forward and draw more people into the conversation.  Anyone with thoughts, reading suggestions, or interested in continuing the conversation should connect with the PDS Center.
