New Friends

What if making new friends was a skill and an opportunity we made available to students on a more regular basis?

I am an introvert, and I find making new friends challenging at times.  Over the course of the next three days, Providence Day School will be hosting the NAIS Strategy Lab team.  The experience will give 9 different school teams (including a PDS team) the chance to think about and make progress on a number of issues critical to the growth and future of independent schools.  I am already enjoying the chance to reconnect with friends and colleagues from the NAIS innovation team in person.  I am looking forward to connecting more meaningfully with the other members of the PDS team.  I am nervous about connecting with new colleagues and making new friends, and that makes me think I need to take full advantage of this opportunity.
